Portfolio by Bevel - Siuil Nadur
This Sculpture was inspired by the interaction between nature and humans. The leaf is similar to a willow leaf, long and narrow with a few up turns along the way. The stem of the leaf slowly grows into the ankle and then to anchor it to the ground, a foot. The piece was constructed in blocks and then carved out to shape. The American Walnut has some great characteristics when carved, with the grain creating the veins of the leaf. Siúil Nádúr is finished in Danish oil.
